A Peach, Purple and Gold Mansion Wedding at a Historic Venue in Virginia

Today's couple, Bailey and Ron, married on September 7th, 2013 - this is the same month and day that my hubby and myself married. So, when Bailey and Ron celebrate their first wedding anniversary this year, my hubby and I will be celebrating our 12th anniversary. Wow! Bailey and Ron were married under a large willow tree in front of the Woodlawn Mansion {which is a gorgeous historic venue in Virginia}. As each guest entered the wedding, they were welcomed by a table with some trinkets including a globe and a container of corks for the guests to sign. One of my favorite touches was the couples initials created with the favors which were jars of crab salt. Another cute idea is with the big basket of flip flops for dancing in - but the sign is the best part . . . "Help yourself to a pair of dancing shoes and leave your excuses under the table. Love R and B".

A Light Pink and Charcoal Wedding from Madeline's Weddings & Events

Today's featured wedding from Madeline's Weddings and Events in Canada is beautiful with the charcoal and light pink decor and linens. The stationery, also created by Madeline's team, was light pink and white. I'm loving the rhinestone banding around the glass vases and wait until you see the couple's monogram projected on the wall behind Genevieve and Tai's candy buffet.

A Laid-Back and Eclectic New Orleans Wedding with NOLA traditions + Japanese Heritage
Today's featured New Orleans wedding of Michelle and Matt, photographed by Veronica of VeroLuce Photography, is absolutely amazing. The bride's aesthetic is urban-glam meets raw-natural-chic … don't you just love that? When it came time to plan the wedding, Michelle says that a NYC loft wedding was out of the question due to budget, so they had to find a fun location that was "somewhat rough around the edges, with tons charm, mystery, and history". And, with that, New Orleans seemed like the best choice.

On the Michelle and Matt's trip to LA to scout reception locations they stumbled upon Cafe Amelie and began talking with Danny, their manager and co-owner, who happened to be setting up for another wedding. Seeing the "open courtyard with twinkling lights strung through the trees and greenery everywhere juxtaposed against the buildings' raw brick facade and stone fountain" made them fall in love with this venue. And, I have to say, I'm totally in love with it too . . . it would be so romantic to celebrate in your own outdoor space between buildings with twinkling lights all around. Oh, and wait until you see how the couple celebrated {with their guests and locals} in what has become the couples most memorable part of their wedding evening.

Michelle and Matt's New Orleans wedding combined NOLA traditions {from Gumbo to praline favors} with Michelle's Japanese heritage in the form of origami that was used throughout along with her mom wearing a kimono. Their wedding ended with their "very own Second Line parade through the French Quarter, with wedding guests and locals alike dancing, singing, and marching with complete abandon through the streets of New Orleans".

California Couple Plans an Intimate Wedding {aka Elopement} to Paris, France
I'm thrilled to share with you today's real wedding as it's the first elopement I've ever shared on my blog. Today's couple, Samantha and Paul, opted for an intimate wedding as they wanted their wedding day to be about their love for each other, not about a wedding. Toni of Paris Weddings by Toni G. says that an elopement is the perfect solution if you're looking for less headaches from organizing an entire wedding. Toni has worked with the best in the wedding industry and has also been hired by major luxury fashion brands such as Michael Kors, DianeVonFurstenberg and even luxury automotive brand BMW. She now partners with The Paris Photographer 'Fran' {who photographed this elopement}, as it's someone who she admires for his amazing talent and looks to grow with together. His vision is to be the best couples photographer in Paris and Toni's vision is to be the best wedding and event planner in Paris.

PS: Samantha and Paul's wedding cost approximately $4,500 including flights, hotel, wedding attire, + photographer
