Real Wedding : Pink Pastels and a Dessert / Candy Buffet

Today's Real Wedding of Alison and Matt in San Francisco is pure gorgeousness with the pale pinks {and it's perfect for my "something pink" posts in honor of breast cancer awareness month}. This beautiful wedding was photographed by Suzanne Karp Photography and it's filled with breathtaking details, something that I absolutely love to see. And, you are totally going to fall in love with the reception, from the desserts to the cake to the candy buffet - it's total sweetness.

After Alison and Matt were married, they went all over the city taking photos in the middle of traffic, in a local bar, on the sidewalk and other places too. These photos are so fun, love it!

I love the photo below looking thru the window into the reception - what a great shot!

I LOVE the apothecary jars used for the candy displays.

Thank you Suzanne for sharing this showstopper of a wedding with my readers today. To see more from Suzanne Karp Photography, please visit her web site and blog.

Real "Pink" Wedding : it's a sweet chocolate theme

Today we continue to honor breast cancer awareness month with another pink wedding. This is the wedding of fellow wedding professional Marni of Creative Custom Cardboxes {whose business began after creating her very own wedding cardbox}. Her wedding was planned by the lovely Jenny Orsini of Pampered Bride Weddings and photographed by Lorraine Patricia Photography. The photos below of Marni and Aaron are so sweet as they read the cards they gave to each other before the ceremony.

Below is the Ketubah signing and the amazing ceremony setup and chuppah.

Below is the place card table that showcases the round chocolate 'pops' as placecards to go with the Sweet Chocolate theme of the day. Also shown is Marni's custom made cardbox in her wedding colors. And, their reception room is complete with pink uplights in the corners.
Thank you so much Marni for sharing your beautiful wedding with my readers today. For those looking for a custom wedding cardbox to coordinate with your wedding, please visit Marni's web site.

Real "Pink" Wedding : breast cancer ribbon inspired dress

Today's "Pink Wedding" in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month features the lovely wedding of Lauren, owner of Ten23Designs.com {creator of personalized decals for walls, weddings, or whatever . . . plus dance floor decals}.

Even though she isn't a "pink person", breast cancer awareness is something that is very important to Lauren. So when she saw this particular dress, Lauren immediately knew it was THE ONE because it reminded her of the breast cancer awareness ribbon. After choosing the dress, her entire wedding was designed with the rose/pink sash as the inspiration.

Real Pink Wedding : it's all about the reception details

Today's Real Wedding details {submitted to us by Kathy of Your Dream Day in Ohio} are pink in honor of breast cancer awareness month. Not only is this a cause that is near and dear to me having lost my sister in law to breast cancer when she was only 32, but, Kathy is also a big supporter of breast cancer awareness as Kathy's sister lost her battle with breast cancer 5 years ago when she was 33 years old. For this particular wedding, Kathy also did the flower design. I love the chocolate brown and pale pink combination.

Real Wedding : Pink Summer Wedding in Atlanta

Today is the first of several "pink weddings" I'll have for you in the coming weeks in honor of October being breast cancer awareness month. Today's wedding is from Alecia Lauren Photography and took place on August 14th. After a year of dating, the bride (Beth) had the opportunity to work in Amsterdam for 18 months. She left Brian in Atlanta and packed her bags for Amsterdam. Brian of course visited and they traveled around Europe using Amsterdam as a home base. The best trip of their travels was their 2 week trip to Italy. One day, they packed up a romantic Italian picnic and started on their hike at a section of the trail in Cinque Terre called the Via Dell'Amore ("Lovers Walk"). It was along this hike that Brian proposed to Beth. Their beautiful summer wedding was planned in Atlanta, GA from Amsterdam and combined Beth's love of pink and their travels.
When Alecia emailed me this wedding, she included the following detail about the cake above, since it's best left in her words, here you go . . . "In their European adventures Beth and Brian went to Oktoberfest where a guy buys a girl a cookie called a "Lebkuchenherz" that she will wear around her neck to show she is with someone and the grooms cake was shaped like the cookie!"

Congratulations Beth and Brian and thank you to Alecia for sharing this wedding with my readers today. To see more from Alecia, please visit her web site and blog.
