Cary Pereyra, owner of The Little Glass Slipper in Brooklyn, is known for creating unique floral arrangements that include a range of traditional flowers highlighted with unexpected and eye-catching herbs. Cary is an herb florist that is passionate about creating arrangements that are both beautiful and aromatically beneficial. Some of Cary’s favorite herbs to work with include sage {known to help improve memory and concentration} and poppies {known to work as a pain reliever}. Isn't the bouquet below gorgeous?

I'm loving the combination of beautiful florals wrapped in burlap to create the look of rustic elegance. You can wrap the bouquet stems in burlap, wrap burlap around the flower vases {looks great with mason jars} or you can even create the actual flowers with burlap. It's such a wonderful combination of textures. And, this combination works well for any season of the year too. Here's just a sampling of my favorites . . . {what's your favorite one?}

There's something about the colors of fall that I just love - the bright reds, oranges and yellows {even purple} make me smile. Maybe because they're such warm and rich colors. I've gathered up some of my favorites floral arrangements and bouquets for your fall inspiration and if you'd like to see even more, be sure to visit my Fall Flowers + Bouquets board on pinterest {which continues to grow}. And, don't forget to follow me on pinterest to see all the boards as I create them. What is your favorite display below? I'd have to pick the floral arrangementts in the gourds - it's such a clever idea, yet so so pretty.

I recently designed a wedding invitation and other paper goodies for an upcoming photo shoot with an illustration I did of the fun yellow flower known as billy buttons or billy balls {aka: craspedia}. I thought today it would be fun to share with you lots of inspiration for using the flower that resembles the sun and just makes me smile. One common theme I found was that billy balls are often paired with succulents and I have to say, it's an amazing look. I also like seeing the flower paired with the unexpected - like the bouquets with pink and purple flowers or the chevron pattern. What's your favorite pairing?
