Today's it's all about hearts on the blog. Coming up a bit later, I'll have ideas for a Heart Wedding Theme. But, first I have the simplest of ideas for Valentine's Day. Simply take a small glassine bag, fill with conversation hearts {or candy of your choice} and seal closed with washi tape. I used a heart paper punch and added hand written sayings to them to resemble the hearts inside.

Other ideas include . . .
1. write your guests name on the heart {or another shape} and have a bag at each place setting
2. write thank you on the tag and have the bags serve as a favors
3. you can even use rubber stamps if you'd rather not hand-write

I personally think the tags look super cute when attached with mini clothespins. And, looking beyond Valentine's Day, these little candy bags would of course make cute place setting favors for showers or weddings - you can even color coordinate the tape and candies to the party.

Laurel of Go Against the Grain was so sweet to send me a little package for Valentine's Day. The packaging was so pretty and I loved the addition of the glittered clothespin {I'm a girl that loves glitter}. Inside was another pretty package - a muslin bag with the letters LOVE stamped on it. I just love this idea by the way. With muslin bags {even paper bags} you can easily use rubber stamps and customize the packaging anyway you'd like for any event.

Inside the muslin bag were samples of the Valentine's Day cupcake toppers Laurel has created and sells in her Go Against the Grain etsy shop. 

The pucker up cupcake toppers are just too cute and the cupid's arrow cupcake toppers are just pure brilliance. These toppers are actually in two pieces {one end has the heart-shaped arrow head and the other has the feathered end}.
