Cupcake Boutique opens in Chicago

My week of cupcake love continues with the opening of MORE Cupcakes in Chicago (One East Delaware Place). The new specialty retail all-cupcake boutique is open 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Sunday. Patty Rothman (owner of MORE Cupcakes) teamed up with Gale Gand {who I remember from her show Sweet Dreams on the Food Network} and Henry Adaniya. Gale Gand helped design the recipes for the unique, extra moist cupcakes.

MORE Cupcakes offers a rotating collection of more than 50 varieties of cupcakes and includes special holiday and seasonal flavors. And, cupcakes aren't just for dessert at MORE Cupcakes. Savory flavors such as Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato; Fig, Blue Cheese and Port; and the Madras Curry cupcake would be the perfect addition to bridal shower and wedding event brunches. And, of course there are the sweet flavors like Red Velvet, Chocolate Chip, Pink Grapefruit, Passion Fruit Poppy Seed, Lemon Meringue, Cinnamon Swirl and others.

Patty Rothman's goal for her new chic cupcake boutique:
"We wanted to create a business that was upbeat and fun, and what could be more fun than cupcakes?" says Rothman. "Not only are they delicious, but they are also small enough to fit in one hand, so we can all indulge in cupcakes and not feel so guilty."

The store sounds amazing - from the press release:
"It is a warm and comfortable feast of the senses. Customers are immediately greeted by a glass wall filled with suspended cupcakes. The ambience is inviting with rich textures and colors, and offers, in essence, material abstractions of the ingredients like butter cream and chocolate. The store's unique backlighting illuminates the walls, to give the illusion of frosting throughout."

If anybody has a chance to visit MORE Cupcakes, I would love to hear what you think of them.
