Introduction to the Coren Moore Bridal Collection
Today I wanted to introduce you to Coren Moore's Bridal Collection and Signature Lines, along with their newest Bridesmaid Styles for 2009. In addition to the formal bridal Collection line, the Bridal Signature line offers options for the more casual bride, destination weddings, and brides who are looking for more cost-effective, yet elegant, options. Coren Moore has also added new fabrics into their line. Fabric options for bridal gowns include: satin, silk, shantung, and white dotted tulle. For some Collection gowns, you can choose from an overlay of scalloped or alencon lace. In addition to silk shantung, eyelet and seersucker for bridesmaids, new fabrics include: Italian cotton sateen and black Swiss-dot. I love the idea of seersucker dresses for bridesmaids - so perfect for a beach or garden wedding.
As a business owner myself, I love to hear stories of how businesses are started and wanted to share with you how Coren Moore came about: In the summer of 2003, following her own wedding, Coren moved to New York where she launched a new line of bridesmaid and cocktail dresses. Inspired by her love of colorful fabrics, Coren began designing a line of dresses with classic, elegant lines that would appeal to brides and their attendants looking for stylish, flattering and fun dress options. During that first season, all work was done out of Coren's Brooklyn apartment and a small sample room in Manhattan's garment district. Business grew each year through word of mouth, and today the company works with over 50 independently owned retail stores, and has an office and showroom in Manhattan. What I think is absolutely wonderful is that the dresses are still made in the USA, in New York City's garment district.
