Eye Candy Friday : v39 {a vintage DIY wedding w/ etsy goodies}

Earlier this week, I received an email from a reader of the blog, Dorie, who recently married in Memphis and created one of the most charming weddings using lots of vintage and DIY elements. Dorie made her veil using tulle from her mom's veil and she wore 3 strands of pearls - each one having been handed down from a different woman in her family. The only fresh flowers at the wedding were for Dorie and her Maid of Honor's bouquet. The boutonnieres were made out of folded maps from Hope and Joy Studios on Etsy. The fresh flower bouquets were created by Gesture Gifts.
The vintage brooch on Dorie's bouquet was from her mother.
I'm loving the knot tying which Dorie tells me was John's idea. Dorie says he literally wanted to "tie the knot", so they got rope from his family's horse farm and climbing rope from Dorie's dad to represent each of their families.
Dorie made the cake topper with salt and pepper shakers, bits of her mom's wedding dress, some clay, and a vintage letterpress stamp.
