Farmers Market Wedding Ideas {15 Fun Ways to Use Local Resources}
Happy Monday. Hope all of my readers had a terrific weekend. I was originally going to put together an inspiration board with just lettuce ideas for weddings. But, then we {myself and hubby along with our two girls} went to a local farmer's market this weekend, I decided to expand the inspiration (with 15 ideas). "Farm to Table" is a big hit lately - especially with it being peak season for Farmers Markets. I thought it would be fun to show you how "fresh produce" and summer florals can be used at your own wedding {or party} to bring the tastes and smells of the season to your event. And, of course you will find some fun paper goodies to tie the entire theme together.
1. use cabbage as the bridal bouquet
2. set up a produce display for guests to help themselves
3. send guests a wedding invitation that resembles a seed packet
4. create cute "Spread the Love" labels for your jam favors
5. create an organic wedding cake topper by placing fresh fruit on top like a peach, apple, pear, whatever fruit you like
6. create fresh floral centerpieces with zinnias
7. fresh fruit in berry baskets left on reception tables for guests to pick from {paper, wood or ceramic berry baskets}
8. pretty sunflowers in glass jars as ceremony aisle markers
9. fabric covered jelly jars for favors
10. gift your bridesmaids with a reusable tote or apron in a farmer's market basket
11. announce your wedding details with a chalkboard sign
12. diy farmers market wedding bouquet
13. fresh garden salads like this butter lettuce salad with sliced zucchini
14. design a logo for your wedding that resembles a farmers market sign
15. Treat guests to their very own farmer's market. Have them fill a paper bag with fresh produce for their favors
