Photo Shoot : a cute and whimsical Valentine's Day sweetheart table

Continuing today with another wonderful Wedding Vendor Challenge Photo Shoot is a whimsical sweetheart table photographed in Banff, Canada. Angie of Get Married in Banff says she chose the base of the sweetheart table as a charcoal taffeta table cloth which looked stunning with the pinks, reds and Pantone Color of the Year Honeysuckle Pink. For this week long featured challenge, I've asked vendors across the US and Canada to team up and create an intimate Valentine's Day dinner tablescape for two with a dessert display. And, like the past three photo shoots this week, there is also a DIY goodie provided.

Team Four features the talent of Angie and Reg of Get Married in Banff, Carey of Lasso'd Moon, Shannon of Twirlie Whirlies, Corrine of Buds and Blooms, and stunning photography from Jessika of December Photography. Angie explains the idea behind the shoot . . . "We wanted to include something fun into the table because the pinwheels were so cute and whimsical so the donuts were added as well as the almonds. Every couple likes to snack on sweet treats and we thought the donuts would be something really unique."

Loving Carey's invitation design that reads "You're invited to an intimate dinner for two on this our first Valentine's Day".

The Juniper Hotel in Banff was chosen as the location for the shoot because of the slate wall in their Bistro. And, don't you just love the pinwheel installation on the grey wall?

The flowers are in tin cans covered in lovely patterned paper that matches the pinwheels. Love this idea.

And, I have more printable goodies for you today. Carey has created a blank Love menu and a Love Menu with the courses pre-filled in. If you open this file in an editing program you can swap out the food choices for your own creations. Simply print out either the blank menu or the pre-filled out menu from Scribd, trim and you're good to go. {the download link is directly underneath the item title in the right column}

A huge thank you to Team 4 for continuing the week with yet another beautiful inspiration shoot, this time from chilly Canada. What a gorgeous tablescape and delicious dessert display with beautiful paper goods. Continue to stay tuned as we'll be finishing up the week with one more Valentine Inspired photo shoot.

A Handmade Holiday : Day 1 : Elegant Accoutrements

Today marks the start of the holiday season on my blog. In addition to the regular daily posts, I will be posting a brand new feature right here, as well as launching a brand new section just for the holidays entitled "Holiday Weddings". This new section will feature daily posts on planning a holiday wedding. Be sure to check this section each day and you can subscribe to Holiday Weddings via RSS as well so you don't miss a post. And, now for today's new feature launch that will be right here on the main blog each day . . . a Handmade Holiday.

Each day thru mid-December I will be featuring at least one artist who creates lovely handcrafted items. These items might be given as gifts or used during the holiday season either at home or for weddings. I hope you enjoy this new feature and please be sure to visit the web site of the artist(s) each day as you just might find that perfect gift for either yourself or someone special.

Today's spotlight is on Buds and Blooms who creates Elegant Accoutrements and specializes in high-quality hand-made beauties at reasonable prices. Corrine, the designer, creates gorgeous adornments to fit any lifestyle. And, proceeds from sales at Buds and Blooms fund community projects in Ghana, West Africa, through the international development agency, The Afri-Can Connection.
