House of Salgado, one of the few remaining bespoke (made-to-order) men’s suit stores in Toronto knows what it takes to incorporate great style into your everyday life. From finding the right fit to design basics to determining performance quality, House of Salgado has their finger on the pulse of the fashion industry.
If chosen well, the right clothes can hide the features we don’t like about ourselves and accentuate our best ones. A mainstay in the Greater Toronto Area since 1951, the store’s co-owner, Mark Salgado, offers these tips for men looking to keep in-touch and in-style this Spring:
• Wear sport jackets made of great fabrics that show off you personality are in.
• Choosing well fitted pants will help accent the jacket made of fine wool.
• Over coat’s should be short made of soft construction and unique fabric.
• Shoes should be casual of soft construction made of quality unique leathers.
• Add bright ties, scarves, hats; make a statement.
"With warmer weather slowly approaching, it’s important to incorporate the right fashion while keeping the milder temperatures in mind,” said Mark Salgado, co-owner of House of Salgado. “This spring, sport jackets matched with fine wool co-ordinated pants will make a great fashion statement.”
Sports jacket's should be form fitted with defined roped shoulders with taper sleeves, side vents and high two-button front. Make sure to select a fabric that makes a statement and their are many exciting fabrics to choose from such as blended silk and wool, cashmere, bamboo and wool and many more.
Co-ordinated stylish pants should accent the jacket and should be well fitted with tapered leg with no pleats or cuffs, adding a matching vest instead of an over coat can also add a great touch of elegance.
Shoes should be of light construction, a little casual such as a slip-on made with soft lines and lots of detail. Make sure again to choose leather that shows quiet qualities such as lamb, kid goat, kangaroo and deer. Other exotic government approved skin are also available such as alligator, snake and ostrich.
“As always, details are important, so look to include a vest that matches the jacket, instead of an overcoat. Don’t be afraid of colour this year, use colour to bring out your personality,” added Salgado.
