Photo Shoot : an elegantly mix-n-matched vintage bridal shower

Today we move onto Day 5 of the April Wedding Vendor Challenge with a bridal shower tablescape and dessert display, plus a downloadable DIY. Today's talented team of Carey of Lasso'd Moon, Paige of Paige Hiller Photography and Jasper and Prudence Floral chose more muted tones in this month's color palette of bubble gum pink, mint green and robin's egg blue.

Today's beautiful spring bridal shower photo shoot took place at The Simon Pearce Restaurant in Quechee, Vermont. The shoot was held in The Loft which is a private room above their retail outlet and restaurant. The chef at the restaurant also made the delicious lemon tarts seen in some of the shots. All of the plates and vases are from the collection available at Simon Pearce's Gallery.

GREAT ADVICE FROM CAREY: Even though we had amazing resources, achieving the same look doesn’t need to be expensive. Mixed and matched plates and vases in the same color family would give you a similar feel. Desserts can be from anywhere (even a super market) and dressed up to look just as nice as something from a pastry shop - it’s really all about presentation and making the most of what you have.

The amazing bouquets and centerpieces were created by Tedd from Jasper and Prudence Floral and consisted of peonies, blue muscari (which looks similar to hyacinth), pink tulips, green dutch hydrangea, blue “Bella Donna” delphinium and geranium leaves. The carrot cake and fruit tarts came from the Woodstock Farmer’s Market, and the cupcakes were from Hannaford's super market. Carey of Lasso'd Moon created the invitation, dessert sign, advice cards and cupcake wrappers to coordinate with the color palette.

DIY DOWNLOAD FREEBIE: Today, Carey has provided the "Bridal Advice" cards for you to download. I love the idea of having this on the center of each guests plate. The circular card reads "Thank you for joining us! Please use this to leave words of advice". Simply print out the Bridal Advice Cards from Scribd, trim and leave one at each guests place setting. {the download link at Scribd is directly underneath the item's title in the right column}
