A Romantic Woodland Wedding Bouquet {with moss wrapped stems}

I'm so excited to share today's post with you . . . a while back I was selected by Bridal Guide Magazine as a top wedding blogger and asked to share my favorite bouquets and centerpieces. I sent along a few favorites and I'm happy to announce that my bouquet pick can be seen in the issue currently on newsstands. The Sept/Oct issue of Bridal Guide Magazine features the gorgeous romantic woodland inspired wedding bouquet by Maribel of EightTreeStreet {she also happens to be a pro-vendor my wedding guide**}. The bouquet was designed for a romantic woodland shoot, photographed by Natalie Franke Photography and planned by Lacoya of Hello Love Events.

One of my favorite features of this bouquet from EightTreeStreet is the moss wrapped bouquet - an unexpected touch that makes this stunning bouquet even more unique. The bouquet features a mix of roses, peonies, peach stock, ferns, scabiosa, and larkspur.

What's YOUR favorite element in this woodland wedding bouquet?

PS: If you happen to be looking for more moss wedding ideas, like moss table numbers, you will certainly want to check out these handmade moss ideas.

Vintage Glamour : Outdoor Wedding Themes for Fall Weddings
Continuing today, I have another 1 of 5 great outdoor wedding themes for fall weddings {they're also ideal for summer weddings}. You can see the first wedding theme here ... Farm to Table Chic Wedding, the second one here . . . Residential Ballroom and the third one here . . . Rugged Mountains and Flip Flops. Williams Ski and Patio has collaborated with wedding planners and photographers who have designed the most amazing outdoor wedding themes. Today's theme is an Outdoor Vintage Glamour wedding design from Meredith McIntosh of Love and Lavender.

When asked about this wedding design, here is what Meredith said . . .

1. In a layperson’s terms, what is the trend? "The outdoor wedding trend that I am personally drawn to is what I would call an outdoor vintage glamour with a touch of elegance."

2. What are the planning/design elements characteristic of the trend? "This trend incorporates elements of flowing material and fringe decor that is paired with bold patterns, vases, a touch of sparkle, and beautiful flower arrangements. In terms of color, outdoor vintage glamour incorporates hues of gold, blushing pinks, and whites. A lounge area with a few pieces of vintage furniture is a necessity. Outdoor wedding themes in this design style work best when they embrace the natural elements - a great help for your wedding budget too!"

3. How can people planning their own wedding incorporate some element of this trend into their own outdoor wedding? "

Bridal Party Attire: "Uniformity is not always the best policy. Let your bridesmaids choose a dress that complements their body type, and adheres to the shade of your chosen wedding color scheme."

Ceremony: "Utilize specific trees around the ceremony location and wrap them in small white lights to give a magical twinkling effect. If you have two large trees next to each other, you could hang white sheer fabric and from tree to tree and then draw the fabric back as if it were the opening act of a play. If you are planning an outdoor wedding in a larger area, you will want a focal point. Trees are good for this as they can create height as well as a grandiose, whimsical effect."

Reception: "Give your guests a break from the hot summer sun. Tents or canopies are a great way to hide from the heat while remaining outdoors. Try decorating the reception area with chandeliers, which are everywhere this season. You can incorporate chandeliers in the ceremony as well by hanging them from trees. A wedding reception is likely the biggest party you will ever throw, so make it feel special. Add glitz and glam to the head table, the dessert table, or other appointed tables by using a sparkly gold table cloth. Centerpieces will consist of loose flower arrangements of whites and cream colored hydrangeas, pink roses and leafy greens. A mix of vases of all different shapes and sizes, along with the loose flower arrangements, will look splendid. Have two cocktail specials for the night: one in favor of the bride and the other to suit the groom's taste. Serve your cocktails with zig-zag black and white paper straws. Photo booths are still very popular. Finish the night off with some fun by creating your own photo booth that has a bright and cheery background of colored hanging tassel garland."

Residential Ballroom : Outdoor Wedding Themes for Fall Weddings
Continuing today, I have another 1 of 5 great outdoor wedding themes for fall weddings {they're also ideal for summer weddings}. You can see the first wedding theme here ... Farm to Table Chic Wedding. In case you missed the details on Monday, Williams Ski and Patio has collaborated with wedding planners and photographers who have designed the most amazing outdoor wedding themes. Today's theme is a Residential Ballroom wedding design by Nicki Korman of Toast of the Coast in Amelia Island, FL.

When asked about her design seen here, this is what Nicki said . . .

Make sure to keep a style plan in place so everything is cohesive from start to finish. One theme we’ve noticed becoming really popular, especially in beautiful spaces like ballrooms and country clubs, is more residential feel décor. Less ballroom style and more lounge room style. The residential ballroom style uses varying shapes of tables and centerpieces and that kind of thing. This creates a more open feel with people mingling and meeting.
Even in beautiful spaces, it feels less traditional, and less like a venue and a destination. It’s about comfort for the guest, and creating a different experience than what they’ve seen before at other weddings. It's about creating a fun environment, though still classy. If you don’t want every guest to have a seat, only have a seat for around 60% to keep everyone mingling.
“Use varying shaped tables, different level centerpieces, and provide enough seating for about 60% of the guests to keep everyone mingling.” - nicki korman, toast of the coast
Farm to Table Chic : Outdoor Wedding Theme for Fall Weddings
Throughout this week and next, I will be sharing with you 5 great outdoor wedding themes for fall weddings {they'd also be ideal for those planning a summer wedding}. Williams Ski and Patio has collaborated with wedding planners and photographers who have designed the most amazing outdoor wedding themes. The first theme I have for you today is a Farm to Table Chic wedding design by Nancy Liu Chin of Nancy Liu Chin Designs in Napa, CA.

When asked about her design seen here, this is what Nancy said . . .

One theme is winery or vineyard weddings. Naturally this is very popular in the Bay Area as we are 1 to 2 hours away from Napa and Sonoma. Suddenly within an hour or two, you can leave the mind boggling, congested urban traffic for wide winding roads, pastoral scenery, and lush greenery. What bride and groom wouldn't want their guests to enjoy a love and long drive into the winery countryside?
Wineries typically have such beautiful landscapes. There's also the expansive vineyards. They lend themselves to this natural and rustic feel that can go modern, glam to vintage and barn like. I think wineries are so private that guests feel like they have the whole place to themselves. In Sonoma and Napa we have such diverse wineries . . . it can be intimate outdoor ceremonies under olive groves to indoor wine cave receptions for hundreds.
In this particular scene we were going for the updated farm to table rustic. It's rustic in the sense that the table is wood and the flowers are very natural. But unlike the expected vineyard motif, there is a more modern line to this look.
I think it's informal, updated not vintage or barn yard. There is a chicness to it.

Green and Purple Outdoor Wedding in Charleston, South Carolina

I'm a huge fan of purple in weddings, so I'm totally in love with today's real wedding feature of Kendra and Michael from King Street Studios. There are so many details to love . . . including the hanging chandeliers and twinkling lights that came on as the night sky came out for the reception. The venue for their wedding was Legare Waring House, located at Charlestowne Landing, which is one of three different properties at Low Country Park Venues.
