Photo Shoot : an elegant and refreshing bridal shower

I can't believe it, but it's time once again for another round of the monthly Wedding Vendor Challenges and each of the vendors have gone above and beyond with SPECTACULAR DESIGNS this month. You are going to love what you will be seeing today, tomorrow and Friday. Today, Pam of Party Starters and Maria of Studio Sister Photography teamed up with an amazing group of vendors to put together this lovely phoot shoot. Pam wrote that she used lots of white with pops of pinks, purples and grey to create an elegant and refreshing bridal shower. The shoot was photographed outside on the deck in the afternoon sun. I love the addition of the sheer drapes to soften the sun's rays.

DIY GOODIE: Pam has created this butterfly template. The small butterflies were used on the table as confetti. The medium sized could be used on place cards and the large could be attached to bakers twine and hung to create a banner or other ceiling decoration. Download here.

Photo Shoot : "It's Almost Time" Bridal Shower Dessert Table

I can't believe it, but it's time to start showcasing the 4th round of the Wedding Vendor Challenges. For the remainder of this week, I'll be showcasing amazing inspiration for you to use at bridal showers, weddings or any other party you have planned. This months color palette was periwinkle blue, mango orange and lemon yellow. And, like last month, I asked vendors to create a bridal shower tablescape with a dessert display and just like the other challenges, there will be at least one DIY provided.

This lovely photo shoot was designed by Pamela of Party Starters and photographed by Maria of Studio Sister Photography. I love the backdrop of the shelves filled with flower pots from Creek Side Gardens for this dessert table.

Pamela explains the design behind this photo shoot . . . "This dessert table was created with 6-8 guests in mind. A simple variety of goodies which included iced sugar cookies, mini cheesecakes and Passion Fruit French macarons is really all that is needed for a small gathering. Beverages included sparkling water, orange juice and fruit punch which could all be mixed together if desired. Fun flag straws in each glass make drinks a bit more festive. Flags also adorned flower arrangements giving them a whimsical feel."

And, a bit more from Pamela about her ideas for this shoot . . . "After guests are finished with their goodies they can fill out "advice for the bride" note cards and place them on a custom message board as a gift for the bride to be. Before your guests leave, have them take a cake slice box from the Ruffled Cake Favor set and fill them with wrapped chocolates or other goodies. Not only is this favor set a great conversation piece but also a useful decoration."

DIY DOWNLOAD FREEBIE: Today, Pamela has provided the "Advice For The Bride" note cards for you to download. Simply print out the "Advice For The Bride" note cards from Scribd, trim and let your guests fill out their advice for the lucky bride.

Ruffled Paper Cake Favor Set & "It's Almost Time" note cards: Party Starters

This and That : ruffled cake favor boxes + love-inspired wall prints

Today I have a couple of fun and unique items that have recently launched from amazing artists/designers. One is the Ruffled Cake Favor Boxes {also available in pink} from Pamela of Party Starters. You can pre-fill each of the 24 cake slice shaped boxes with small candies or other tiny trinkets. You can even place this "cake" on a cake stand and let your guests fill up their own slice of cake with candies as their take home goodie "box". The white ruffled cake favor set also serves as a unique decoration for the dessert buffet. The set includes a white outer ruffled wrap to hold everything together.

And, Samantha of Papermints has added these visually stunning love-inspired wall prints to her online boutique. These typographic art prints offer various modern typestyles that are gently stacked to showcase a newly married couple with their wedding date and even the city or state and venue on some of the designs. Each original art print is professionally printed on matte archival-safe photo paper and comes in 2 sizes, either 8x10 or 11x14. I'm loving the colors and of course the typography in these prints.
