How to Plan a Luxurious and Romantic Vintage Wedding in an Urban Venue

Today I have some spectacular creative wedding inspiration from Wedding Business Club member Marianne Blackham Photography. She recently photographed the intimate vow renewal of Hayley from Fairytale Pursuits.

Marianne and Hayley combined the vow renewal with a styled shoot so Marianne could show how to plan a luxurious and romantic vintage winter wedding in an urban venue. She’s often asked how to make this happen so Marianne is here to share the details so you can successfully re-create this theme yourself.

To add a luxurious touch make sure the place settings reflect that goal.

Include a champagne flute, wine glasses, as well as a glass for water. Make sure there are the appropriate number of plates and utensils, as demonstrated below.

If the venue is urban but a vintage or romantic feeling is desired then make sure to use decor to reflect that.

For example the DJ brought vintage equipment to add a vintage touch to a very urban venue.  Also look for vintage landmarks around the venue to get pictures at to add a vintage touch . . . as demonstrated below.

Romantic Wedding Inspiration with Blush Sequins + a Dramatic Orchid Centerpiece

I have something beyond gorgeous to share with you today as we head into the weekend. It's a beautiful styled shoot collaboration between Madeline's Weddings & Events and Ana from AMC Studio. Madeline's team was inspired by the beautiful colors that their brides are loving right now so they decided to use champagne, blush and gold to create a romantic and whimsical look. The chiffon rosette linens are so soft and pretty when paired with the blush sequins that are modern and fun. The result is a classic and feminine style that would appeal to anyone. Pops of pink were added to the rosette sweet heart table by using blush roses in the arrangements and a champagne pink runner. The blush sequin guest table featured a lush and dramatic centerpiece consisting of blush orchids, roses and white hydrangea. The gorgeous custom ivory and blush stationery set and with the gold accents on both tables was created by Madeline's in-house stationery designer. The stationery tied everything from this styled shoot together perfectly.

Real Wedding : an elegant and romantic spring wedding

Today's wedding of Adriana and Sean was beautifully captured by Marisa Leigh Photography. Adriana explains that she wanted their wedding to have an elegant, soft and romantic scheme. This was carried thru in the classy colors of ivory and taupe in the bridesmaids dresses, the groomsmens tuxedos, as well as the ribbons and pearls that wrapped around the cake. The brides mom made the champagne lace overlays for the ivory table linens and avalanche ivory roses and hydrangeas carried the elegance over to the centerpieces.

This is super sweet. When Sean and Adriana first met, Sean wrote a love letter and on the wedding day, he surprised Adriana with the poem presented in a special frame and had it delivered to her as she was getting ready.

Thank you Marisa for sharing such a lovely romantic wedding with my readers today. To see more from Marisa, please visit her web site and blog.
