This and That . . .

Yesterday was a bit of a long day for me, so I'm sorry for the short post today. My email program decided to stop working after I updated the system software on my MAC. I couldn't get to any of my emails until late in the day when I had finally finished importing them into another program and re-creating all my accounts. My apologies if you emailed me in the past few days and haven't received a reply yet. I promise to get back to you in the next few days.

For the winner of the Le Viette dessert towel, please be sure to email me before 5 pm EST today with your mailing address to claim your prize - brenda{at}bestweddingsites{dot}com

Now, for the fun stuff - here's two web site finds I think you will like.
1. Delightful Details: what a great way to add a unique touch to your wedding - they specialize in distinctive and charming keepsake signage - love the shabby chic style

2. The Cookie Sandwich Co.: these cookie sandwiches would be perfect for bridal shower luncheons and sweet dessert displays at receptions - they look soooo yummy

Crystal Wedding Bouquets & More

Unique Wedding Find
I'm absolutely loving these crystal bouquets by The Flower Diva in North Carolina. While I've seen crystal bouquets on other sites (ex. Very Best Weddings), I've never seen a boutonniere, corsage or centerpiece crystallized. A nice tradition that can be started with a crystal bouquet is to pass it down to the next generation for their wedding day, or you can keep it yourself as a lasting keepsake.

Wedding Invitations by Blossom Accents

a week of unique wedding finds and gifts continues . . .
When Agnes of Blossom Accents emailed me last week, I immediately fell in love with her beautiful floral illustrations that adorn her wedding invitations. Blossom Accents designs handmade wedding invitations and coordinating accessories. Each design features artwork that has been illustrated by Agnes (first with a sketch and then using colored pencils to draw the artwork). Anges' photographic inspirations are collected from all over the world in her travels.

One of my favorite invitations is the Red Poppy Love. This invitation also ties in perfectly with the Poppy Inspiration Board I created a few months back.

You can see all the current invitation designs in Agnes' Portfolio.

save the date, save the trees

web site find
I recently received a comment on my Eco-Friendly Wedding Invitations post that introduced me to a "green wedding" etsy shop. It's called Save the Date * Save the Trees. The shop sells digital Save the Dates. I think this is an absolutely brilliant idea and the shop is filled with lovely designs.

Not only are you saving money on stamps, you are saving yourself time and helping the earth by saving trees. You simply choose the layout you like, purchase that design, email your information and you approve a jpeg file. Then you are supplied with a digital save-the-date file that you then email to your guest list. You will actually receive 2 files - one for emailing {72 dpi} and one high-res file {300 dpi} for printing if your guest doesn't have an email or if they don't check their email often.

The digital save the date's are easy on your budget too at only $13.50 per design (summer sale designs are $11.50 each).

Unique Wedding Centerpiece Idea

I'm loving this alternative idea for either bridal shower or wedding centerpieces - it's a centerpiece and favor combo in one. (Thank you mom for bringing this site to my attention) The company is Florelle™ and they offer bouquets made up of candy-filled wands that each guest at your table can take home. They offer centerpieces for tables of 8, 9, 10, and 12. You select the colors, gourmet candy filling of choice (ex. sugar coated almonds, after dinner mints, sweet heart candies, etc), the size of the wand, and if you wish to, you can personalize the favors with the name and date of your event.

This idea is so clever. And, flowers can still be incorporated into the favor centerpieces if desired. There are over 40 colors to select from and you can have your centerpiece be comprised of one or more colors. There is sure to be a color that will match your event. To speak with a Florelle™ designer, you can call toll-free 1-800-768-7116 or 1-800-746-0429.

Has anybody used this type of centerpiece before? What are doing for your bridal shower or wedding centerpiece arrangements? I'd love to hear your ideas on unique centerpieces.
