Real Engagement : love in Malaysia at a man made lake

Today's real engagement comes all the way from Joe Zakaria Photography, a wedding photography company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The couple, Nik and Shima, had their photographs taken at the man made lake in Kuala Lumpur. While props are fun, there's no denying how wonderful it is to see a couple in love photographed amongst a gorgeous backdrop that is known as the beauty of nature.

Real Engagement : love in the windy city {aka Chicago, IL}

Today's engagement session from Brett of Birdsong Photography holds a special place my heart as Kathy and Felipé found Brett thru my site and then booked him for their engagement session in Chicago and their wedding later this summer in Buffalo, NY. I'm so happy when I hear stories like this. And, I just love the photos below with amazing architecture of the cityscape and the sweet love between Kathy and Felipé.

Credit also to Tiffany of Avant Images for joining Brett in the photo taking.

The Best Wedding Sites Magazine is here . . .

I have super exciting news to share with you today as the first issue of The Best Wedding Sites Magazine is here. This issue is all about sharing love with your special someone as well as with your guests. You'll see a particular focus on the red and pink color palette too. I've even had bloggers and wedding vendors join me in sharing their Top 5 picks of their favorite handmade "love" gifts.

Along with a more indepth look at the Weding Vendor Challenges that you probably remember seeing for Valentine's Day on the blog, you will also see a Red Hot Engagement Session, spectacular real weddings and even a table setting that all incorporate red or pink into the color palette in one way or another. And, lastly I end this issue with a super sweet Love photo shoot that strays a bit from the color palette, but still represents love beautifully, and that is peach. Plus, there's a special discount code from Daisy Days that is valid thru the end of March.

I want to thank all of the amazing vendors that have contributed to this issue to make it such a wonderful first issue. And, a special thank you to Jen of Blush Printables for helping me design the cover and the interior vendor challenge pages.

Any vendors interested in being a part of a future issue, please send me an email bestweddingsites{at}gmail{dot}com

Real Engagement : a Valentine's themed shoot in Saratoga Springs, NY

So happy to share today's Real Engagement of Caroline and Kyle with you from Tiffany Wayne Photography who you might remember as the photographer from my berry sweet strawberry photo shoot last summer. Today's engagement shoot is adorable with the conversation heart plates and the super cute Valentine mugs for the hot chocolate. Love the props Tiffany found for the couple. And, I love the photos when Caroline gets a bit of the whipped cream on her nose from the cocoa :) After being outside, the couple headed into the Gideon Putnam Hotel to warm up a bit and have some beautiful photos taken.

Real Engagement : a creative couple who's "naturally" in love

I was so happy to receive an email from Joyce, a reader of my blog, with her engagement photos. I am a HUGE fan of engagement photos that capture the true love of the couple in natural settings and seeing them do things they love - in this case, ride bicycles and play the guitar. Photography is by Fairy Tale Photography in Dallas, TX. The last name of Joyce's fiance is Yeung so they will be doing a play on words and the brand of their wedding will be the "Forever Yeung" wedding. Isn't that the cutest?

Thank you again Joyce for sharing your engagement photos with my readers today. Wishing you all the best with your upcoming wedding.
