Review: Epson Artisan 800 for DIY Brides

Epson recently asked me something that was a bit hard to believe, but it was true. They wanted to provide me with an Epson Artisan 800 for use in my office and for my daily wedding blog. The printer is amazing as it is an all-in-one (printer, scanner, copier, fax). I haven't used the fax component yet, but do hope to get that set up soon. Having one less piece of equipment in my office would be wonderful. The scan quality on this Epson printer is superb and the printing is super fast. {I recently used the printer to create items for my daughter's 2nd birthday party including: Winnie the Pooh coloring books for the children's goodie bags, favor tags and now the thank you's}

One amazing feature that I have yet had the time to try is the printer's ability to actually print directly onto CDs and DVDs - how perfect is that for either CD favors or simply archiving your wedding photos?

2. plug your camera's memory card into the printer, edit using the LCD touch screen and print your photo

A couple of personal notes on the Epson Artisan 800 . . . One feature that I love is the printers ability to hold both 8.5x11 paper and 4x6 photo paper in 2 trays at the same time. My other ink jets couldn't do this. Also, with my previous ink jet printers I've typically had to print in RGB mode for the best color representation - but with the Epson, the printer matches my screen when the images are saved in CMYK mode {which is how it's actually supposed to be}.
