So happy to have Magalie of the blog, Weddings and Pretty Things, join me today in sharing the details from the wonderful Wedding Salon event that was held in NYC on April 12th {unless otherwise noted, photos are provided by Creative Compositions}. And, now.....here's Magalie:

Brides to be were transported to a wonderful world of fantasy at last week's Wedding Salon event held at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City. Amidst dazzling displays of top-notch visuals, vendors and industry royalty alike came together to share products, insight, and a wealth of wedding planning knowledge.
Upon the first moments of arrival, guests were treated to the amusing, whimsical touch of oversized bouquets bursting with flora that doubled as performance art. The "living" floral arrangements moved gracefully like a scene straight from Disney's enchanted forest and beckoned guests to enter.
A museum display of gorgeous gowns guarded the hallway leading into the salon. Inside the sights, sounds and tastes got better and better, starting with the floral arrangements! A spectacular Chuppah designed by Ariston Florist (complete with Bride and Groom) was lined with orchids while a stunning cherry blossom table display by David Tutera, star of My Fair Wedding for Disney's Fairytale Weddings, captured the essence of spring. Lucky guests got a chance to meet David up close and personal at the on-premise book signing.

Tasty treats abounded with cakes and treats from Make My Cake II {shown below}, La Bella Vita Design {shown below}, Sweet Perfection Desserts and Yardie Treats, an appearance from the renowned Sylvia Weinstock and a show stopping ice sculpture martini bar created by Ice Sculpture Designs serving Hpnotiq cocktails. (That’s one way to shake things up during your cocktail hour!)
As fabulous as all this must sound, the highlight for me was the three-part fashion show by Bridal Reflections, which featured dresses by David Tutera (yup, as if his amazing tablescape and book signing weren’t enough, the genius now has a wedding dress collection) and a grand finale of styles from Ines di Santos. These dreamy dresses floated down the runway.
