Photo Shoot : a vintage camera inspired wedding reception

This photo shoot was conceived by Tiffany of Tiffany Wayne Photography and I came on board to help coordinate the vendors involved. Tiffany chose to work with a Vintage Camera Theme - for her love of all things photography and wedding. The color scheme for this shoot was peach, brown, black and cream and featured many DIY projects for wedding inspiration.

Real Wedding : an elegant wedding in the Cliffs in the Carolinas

Today's amazing wedding of Avery and Nicholas was sent to me by Cherin of Customized Wedding Creations who created the beautiful aisle runner for their ceremony. As the bride wrote, she "wanted an elegant event that felt organic and not canned. Hence the moss down the aisle and the flowers at the reception." The bride and groom served their guests a seated dinner with surf (ahi tuna) and turf (petite fillet) and just wait until you see the lush centerpieces. You are going to love them. Photography is by fine art photographer Jeremy Russell.

Real Wedding : red, gold and brown elegance with a few surprises

Today's Real Wedding is pure gorgeousness {is that really a word?}. The wedding of Stacy and Jason was photographed by Next Exit Photography with the ceremony taking place in The Tuscan Garden of the Westlake Village Inn. Stacy wanted to have an outdoor ceremony in a beautiful setting that didn't require a lot of extra décor. The ceremony colors were reds, golds and browns - such an elegant combination. The bride explains, "The brown swirled wrought iron gazebo was magnificent on its own, but looked even more spectacular with 2 urns overflowing with red roses, red calla lilys & amaranthus in front of it."

The gorgeous custom made personalized aisle runner {from Cherin of Customized Wedding Creations} brought everything together and gave the bride and groom their first surprise of the day as they didn’t know it was being made for them.

The two level ballroom sparkled with the crystal chandeliers and sconces hanging around the room. The reception was in ivory and gold with the centerpieces being in footed vases with gold containers inside them for the extra sparkle. They included various ivory flowers cascading with roses, hydrangeas and more.

As the evening darkened the ballroom was aglow with over 100 votives in gold mercury containers. And, another surpise for the bride and groom as a custom personalized Gobo on the wall with their names. The cake was made specifically to the groom's request with each layer being 10" tall.

I have to thank Cherin of Customized Wedding Creations for sending me this wedding and to Next Exit Photography for sharing the photos with my readers today. To see more from Next Exit Photography, please visit their web site and blog.

Just Launched : Eco-runners™ {hand-painted aisle runners}

I'm so excited to announce that today marks the official launch of a new collection of aisle runners by Cherin of Customized Wedding Creations. For those looking for a green option when it comes to aisle runners, you can now purchase Eco-runners™. From Cherin . . . "Eco-runners™ are made from recycled plastic bottles that are melted down until they produce hair-like strands that are woven into a recycled polyester fabric. Each aisle runner is hand-painted with 100% organic paint, absolutely no chemicals. Eco-runners™ are available in six colors, white, black, red, burgundy, royal blue, and hunter green and are sold in 25' increments but can be custom cut to any length. They're available in both 36" and 45" widths. Eco-runners™ are great because you'd never know they're made from recycled bottles; they look and feel just like any of our other fabric aisle runners. They start at $175 for a 25' Eco-Runner™ with a hand-painted logo from our "Essential Collection"." Congratulations Cherin on an amazing launch and for helping brides have a beautiful option for a "green" wedding accessory.

PS: I've been a lucky recipient of a banner from Cherin and all I can say is they are gorgeous. I cannot believe it's hand-painted, but it truly is. When I first saw my logo hand-painted on the banner, I'll admit, it brought tears to my eyes. The craftsmanship is just spectacular.

Side Note: The lovely Eco-Runners™ logo was created by Carey of Lasso'd Moon Designs.

Trash the Dress Session : Jenna and Barry in FL {with parasol}

Earlier today I featured the Real Wedding of Jenna and Barry that took place at the Marco Island, Marriott Resort and Spa in Florida. And, now it's time for their Trash the Dress Session with Roger of Thomspson Photos. This session was held at the same location as the wedding and features a beautiful monogram parasol from Cherin of Customized Wedding Creations. I just love how the parasol is the perfect accent that completes the look.
