Real Wedding : classic and glam with sparkles and feathers

Earlier today I featured an e-session from JG Photography and I'm happy to now share with you the wedding of Miren and Geoff that Justin photographed in Saskatoon, Canada. Miren wrote that she loves big bold prints and this is reflected in the bridesmaids dresses and the paper that was placed under the centerpieces. The color palette for Miren and Geoff's wedding was black and white prints with splashes of red.

Miren's wedding dress was the "Brooklyn" Blue by Enzoani, a beautiful silky taffeta modified a-line skirt with a slight sweetheart neckline and a natural waist. It also had beaded lace appliqués and a cathedral train.

I love how Justin asks his brides about their favorite 3 or 4 details from their wedding, here's Miren's:
1. The feather decorations that were everywhere {you can even see them in her bouquet}
2. Her shoes
3. The handmade touches that were made my her mom and mother in law. Her mom made the chocolates on the tables and her mother in law made all the boutonnières and bouquets.

Since Miren wanted flowers everywhere, in particular, red roses - she purchased 28 dozen roses from Costco and Geoff's mom made the bouquets and boutonnières while Miren and her bridesmaids made the centerpieces and other floral arrangements.

Geoff wanted to buy a new suit rather than rent a tuxedo, so he chose a stylish Kenneth Cole back suit with a discreet pinstripe. Geoff’s groomsmen wore black suits and purchased the same white dress shirt and black silk tie that Geoff had purchased.

For the bridesmaids dresses, Miren told her girls that she liked black and white but wanted them to pick out their dress. But, all 3 girls picked out the full length strapless Dessy dress in the black and white Melrose print. To finish off their look, Miren made them crystal Swarovski jewelry to match their dresses and shoes.

The wedding cake was a chocolate and vanilla square three tier with raspberry butter cream filling. Miren's mom handmade chocolates for the wedding favors. She made two types of chocolates: solid milk chocolates in the shape of hearts and chocolate with a truffle filling in a generic cherry type mould. Each table had 16 chocolates placed on two plates.

Thank you so much Justin for sharing the engagement sessione earlier and now this spectacular wedding with my readers today. To see more from Justin, please visit his web site and blog.
