Photo Shoot: an English High Tea bridal shower - Titanic style

CHALLENGE GUIDELINES . . .
color palette:
red, orange and brown
theme: bridal shower or wedding

It's time for the 2nd submission of the October Wedding Vendor Challenges. Today's team consisted of so many amazing vendors including Tina of Weddings by Tina, photos by Kelly Freedman Photography and all the paper goods are by DBY invitations. And, there's even etsy artists that came on board for this shoot . . . The Caramel Jar and The Frosted Petticoat. Plus, even more vendors are listed below. Oh, and be sure to look closely at the floral arrangement - you just might spy some kiwi fruit :)

I will now let Tina explain the ideas and concept behind this elegant inspiration . . .

The theme was chosen in part because the 100th anniversary of the sailing of the Titanic is coming this spring. The thought of incredible luxury, with the deep colored furniture velvets, elegantly patterned wrought iron work, silky fabrics and daily afternoon tea as well as first class dinners was an inspiration for the fall tones and English High Tea bridal shower.

The invitation border pattern was designed by digitizing a photograph of a surviving first class salon mirror.  In place of the reflective glass sits the invitation to 'travel' in honor of the bride and groom, who will be journeying into their future together. The White Star line logo was used to tie the theme into the handmade caramel 'sweet treats' box labels as well as the luncheon menus.

The table number background (as well as the matching 'Sweets Salon' sign) uses a digitized fireplace grate image behind a door texture. The table number was inspired by the stateroom door plaques. To round it all out – dual sided ‘boarding passes’ with handmade chocolate keys take guests to their 'stateroom' table to enjoy good food and great company while celebrating the bride.
