A Rustic Woodland Inspired Holiday Shoot

While today's photo shoot was created for the holidays, there are so many ideas and creative design within the shoot that it can easily be adapted for bridal showers and/or weddings. Before, I share all the details, I wanted to show you the overall look of the dessert table below which features tree trunk slices as serving trays and even gold painted poinsettias. The rustic woodland inspiration was designed by Mayra of In Flight and Melissa of Truly Chic Inspirations.

The woodgrain paper boxes are perfect for sending home sweet treats with your guests and the wrapping paper with coordinating paper tags are ideal to wrap up your guests favors in. Wouldn't little wrapped packages look adorable at each place setting in this paper?

Such a great idea - simply place ribbon inside of clear ornaments to match any color decor you desire.

And, I just couldn't resist not sharing a close-up of the fondant cake toppers with you. There is just something so sweet about them {besides the amazing detail} that I just keep looking at their photo to bring a smile to my face.

A Rustic Tennessee Wedding from Mary Rosenbaum Photographs

The meeting of Karen and John started with a blind date that led to today's beautiful fall wedding, with photography by Mary Rosenbaum Photographs. The bride and groom wanted an intimate and relaxed day in the fall season to celebrate their marriage. The outdoor wedding ceremony was officiated by the groom's father which added to the intimacy of the day. John and Karen made the wedding favors themselves - each guest went home with a set of wooden homemade coasters.

A Purple and Orange Fall Wedding with Dancing Pumpkins

The fall wedding of Nicole and Jason is so perfect to share with you today on Halloween. Not only does it feature purple and orange which are great colors for the day - but there's even dancing pumpkins. During the wedding the groom's cousin told a story about when her sister married a few years earlier she had wanted to have pumpkins on the table. Her mother had told her she wasn't spending that much money for a Halloween party so the pumpkin idea couldn't be used. As a surprise, Jason and his cousins got together and came out in pumpkin suits and started dancing. Jason's cousin decided to bring the pumpkins to his wedding with Nicole too. When they came out, The Monster Mash started. The gorgeous photography is by Shannon Lee Images.

An English Afternoon Tea Garden Themed Wedding

Today's real wedding features the designer Brie, who owns the LA based clothing line, BREN, with her twin sister, Jenny. The wedding of Brie and Tom captured the vibe of an elegant picnic {LOVING this theme by the way}. With Tom originally from England, the couple embraced the ambiance of an English afternoon tea garden for their wedding. To carry this out, the wedding featured baby's breath bouquets, lemon centerpieces, croquet during the reception, Pim's as the signature cocktail, homemade scones by the bride, and a London Cab exit.

Many personal touches were seen throughout the wedding including . . .
• the lemon wedding cake was made by the groom's sister and mother
• the bride's mom and cousin played the guitar and sang the couple's first dance song
• the bridesmaids dresses were from the BREN line
• the groom's suit was designed by the bride's sister's boyfriend

A DIY Purple & Green Virginia Wedding from Living Story Photography

Today's wedding of Erin and Michael features the love story of a high school cheerleader and football player who married in a full catholic mass. Following was an evening rustic reception with dinner and dancing at the Steveson Ridge. The color palette included deep purples, emerald green and marine blue. The place "cards" and cake stand were handmade by the groom himself from a tree trunk. He also created the centerpieces with a tree trunk and sawed off wine bottles with candles. The beautiful photos are by Living Story Photography.
