Wedding Confetti Bags . . . ideas and how-to DIY for celebrating

Happy Monday. With today being my father's birthday I thought it would be fun to have a little celebration on my blog to start the day. What better way than to toss confetti? I have gathered up some of the many ways you can incorporate confetti into your wedding or celebration. I just LOVE the packaging ideas. So much fun!

Glassine Confetti Bags with Lace Doily : simply fold a paper doily over the edge of a glassine envelope and attach an "admit one" ticket with a mini clothespin for guests to grab as they enter the ceremony

Striped Muslin Confetti Bags : block off stripes with masking tape and with fabric paint you will paint the exposed fabric {again lining the inside to prevent bleeding of the paint}

Wax Paper Confetti Bags : sew wax tissue paper into small bags and sew a small tag at the top that reads "tear & toss"

DIY Glittered Heart Dessert Toppers + Silver Sparkly Heels

As soon as I saw these sparkly silver heels from Polis Photography my mind immediately went to "what could I DIY for you that involved silver glitter?" And, from there I came up with today's DIY of glittered heart dessert toppers. See . . . inspiration can come from anywhere :){oh, and if you'd prefer to purchase these toppers pre-made, you can do that too. Details are at the end of the post}

Supplies Needed:

- Colored paper/cardstock of choice

- Heart paper punch

- Lollipop sticks in 2 heights

- Glitter Paint

- Art Glue

You could choose any colors you'd like for this DIY that match your party colors. For this particular DIY I choose pink and grey/silver paper with matching pink and silver glitter paint. I'm a bit partial to pink and grey because this happens to be a favorite color combo of mine and it's also the colors for this weekend's baby sprinkle my friend {owner of Best Baby Sites} is throwing for me :)

Tip: when using glitter that will be used near food - I highly recommend glitter paint so it doesn't come off on the food. When using glue and then sprinkling glitter on, you will always have some of the glitter that still comes off. And, as much as I LOVE glitter, I am not a fan of eating glitter :)

For these heart toppers, you will punch out the hearts and then either paint the entire heart with glitter paint, or just paint the outer edge. You could of course, do stripes, polka dots - anything you wish really. Once dry, you will add a bit of glue to the top of the lollipop stick and then adhere the heart to it. Let the glue dry and you are ready to decorate your dessert with these sparkling hearts at varying heights.
