Green and White Wedding Inspiration Board for St. Patrick's Day

It's that time of year again when I put together a green and white wedding inspiration board in honor of the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday. Continue reading on to see all the fun ideas I've included in this one . . .

I just love the oversized faux boxwood monogram as a backdrop for the couple saying their vows. The green tulip and white anemone bouquet with the striped ribbon pairs perfectly with the green and white ombré wedding cake featuring an oversized succulent flower. I always love the layered look on a bride, so this green cardigan with the detailed lace collar is perfect. And, for a cute little extra touch, the bride and/or her bridesmaids could carry this mini crocheted purse. The rope necklace would be a wonderful gift for the bridesmaids and it's something they can definitely wear again after the big day. And, of course, a green and white wedding wouldn't be complete without a bride in green wedding shoes. I also find green for weddings at this time of year is the perfect way to usher in spring - it's so fresh and means wonderful beauty is ahead, just like a new marriage.

Vintage French Themed Wedding Inspiration Board with Gourmet Delectables from Donsuemor

I recently received a yummy box of gourmet treats from Donsuemor - they are creators of all natural french madeleine cookies {in Traditional, Lemon Zest, Chocolate, and Dipped flavors} and french almond cakes. After tasting them, I knew creating a romantic French themed inspiration board around them was in order. Wouldn't your dessert display look pretty with these super moist and tasty delectables served on vintage plates? These cookies were so moist, I think it'd be safe to say that they're a cookie that melts in your mouth. You might even consider letting your guests pack up a goodie bag of these French cookies to enjoy after the wedding.

And, in case you were looking for little more on Donsuemor's cookies . . . The Madeleine's are elegant little French cakes with distinctive shell shapes and the French almond cakes are elegant little cakes with the rich and nutty taste of sweet almond. You can buy boxes of the cookies from the Donsuemor's web site which makes it super easy to order them for parties and weddings. For example . . . you can order 40 of the chocolate dipped madeleines for just $26, that's only 65 cents per cookie. Slip one of the French treats in a glassine bag, add a custom paper tag that reads "merci beaucoup" and you have a wonderful little edible favor. You can even order a sampler pack that contains 16 cookies for $15 {which I think everyone should do as a treat for themselves}.

side note: while I did receive samples of Donsuemor sweets, the views

Let's Go Camping Wedding Theme - Ideas and Inspiration

When I saw the latest invitation design from Carey of Lasso'd Moon I knew I had to create an inspiration board around it. It's just the cutest theme and most adorable invitation. It's a Canoe Outdoors Themed Wedding Invitation & Postcard RSVP - which immediately made me think of a camping wedding theme. And, why not have the bride and groom re-create the invitation illustration, but this time with an actual kiss in a canoe along the river? And, of course with camping, s'mores seem to be a requirement so why not have a s'more making session before guests head home, or you can present them with s'mores in a bag as their take-home favor. I've included a list of even more "camping" ideas below . . .

Other ideas to include in a camping wedding include:
- floral pattern napkins
- tree stump chargers
- wildflower centerpieces and bouquets
- silverware presented in tins tied with twine
- serve dinner on picnic tables
- blankets for guests as the night gets chilly
- string battery operated lights thru mason jars for candlelight at night

And, lastly, setting up a mock tent between the trees provides the perfect photo booth backdrop.

Do you have any more ideas for a camping themed wedding?

Tomato Wedding Ideas + Menu Inspiration for your Guests

I love when I come across unique ideas and beautiful inspiration boards. This one from Mayra of In Flight is truly inspiring and such a great idea. I also love how the inspiration for the board started when she was looking thru the latest issue of Cooking Light. See inspiration really can come from anywhere - and it's so important to remember this. When you feel like you're drawing a blank when planning your wedding or a party, simply look elsewhere and sometimes something magical can happen. Tomatoes are such a fun theme for weddings and even bridal showers. Not only are the reds. oranges, yellows and greens spectacular together, but just think of all the amazing food choices you could offer your guests. Below I share some of my favorite menu options with you, along with a great idea for incorporating tomatoes into your table numbers.

One idea I'm loving is arranging tomatoes in bowls or in the ceramic farmer's market baskets and then adding in markers that let your guests know the table number {here the markers identify the tomato type}. You could showcase different types of tomatoes for each table if there is enough variety where you live, or they can all be the same. Then, after the wedding, the tomatoes can easily be made into tomato sauce. And, if you are looking for menu options that involve tomatoes - how about these choices for an appetizer, salad and main course?

Appetizer: Wouldn't it be fun to serve your guests tomato soup in shooter glasses with triangle wedges of grilled cheese?

Salad: Serving your guests bright colors with an heirloom tomato salad will certainly make them super happy. And, you can serve it on a toasted piece of rustic bread to serve as the crouton.

Main Course: Can't go wrong with mixing it up a bit and serving guests a slice of tomato pie for dinner.

Vintage Emerald Green Wedding Inspiration Board

For those of you that may not know, Pantone has selected Emerald Green as the color of the year for 2013. This color is absolutely gorgeous for weddings and can easily be used anytime of the year. It's a classy and elegant color that is well suited for weddings anytime of the year. Today, I created a vintage wedding in emerald green that wasn't created with a particular season in mind. What do you think of the color of the year?

For today's inspiration board I challenged myself and wanted to not only show my love of handmade artists, but I wanted to create an inspiration board that did not involve me going onto pinterest for an image search. I relied on the many talented etsy artists to pull this emerald green inspiration board together.
