Real Wedding : Pink Summer Wedding in Atlanta
Today is the first of several "pink weddings" I'll have for you in the coming weeks in honor of October being breast cancer awareness month. Today's wedding is from Alecia Lauren Photography and took place on August 14th. After a year of dating, the bride (Beth) had the opportunity to work in Amsterdam for 18 months. She left Brian in Atlanta and packed her bags for Amsterdam. Brian of course visited and they traveled around Europe using Amsterdam as a home base. The best trip of their travels was their 2 week trip to Italy. One day, they packed up a romantic Italian picnic and started on their hike at a section of the trail in Cinque Terre called the Via Dell'Amore ("Lovers Walk"). It was along this hike that Brian proposed to Beth. Their beautiful summer wedding was planned in Atlanta, GA from Amsterdam and combined Beth's love of pink and their travels.
When Alecia emailed me this wedding, she included the following detail about the cake above, since it's best left in her words, here you go . . . "In their European adventures Beth and Brian went to Oktoberfest where a guy buys a girl a cookie called a "Lebkuchenherz" that she will wear around her neck to show she is with someone and the grooms cake was shaped like the cookie!"
Congratulations Beth and Brian and thank you to Alecia for sharing this wedding with my readers today. To see more from Alecia, please visit her web site and blog.
