Real Wedding : an English Garden theme - complete with croquet

Today's beautiful English Garden themed wedding was photographed by Alecia Lauren Photography and took place in Marietta, GA. The bride and groom, Jennifer and Adam, had guests that flew in from all over the world including Adam's grandmother from South Africa {this is where Adama's family is from}. With the day starting out rainy and humid, the skies cleared in the afternoon and the bright blue skies were perfect for games of croquet on the lawn.

Don't you just love the shot below of the couple thru the croquet wicket?

Thank you so much Alecia for sharing such a beautiful wedding with my readers today. To see more from Alecia, please visit her web site and blog.

Real Wedding : Pink Summer Wedding in Atlanta

Today is the first of several "pink weddings" I'll have for you in the coming weeks in honor of October being breast cancer awareness month. Today's wedding is from Alecia Lauren Photography and took place on August 14th. After a year of dating, the bride (Beth) had the opportunity to work in Amsterdam for 18 months. She left Brian in Atlanta and packed her bags for Amsterdam. Brian of course visited and they traveled around Europe using Amsterdam as a home base. The best trip of their travels was their 2 week trip to Italy. One day, they packed up a romantic Italian picnic and started on their hike at a section of the trail in Cinque Terre called the Via Dell'Amore ("Lovers Walk"). It was along this hike that Brian proposed to Beth. Their beautiful summer wedding was planned in Atlanta, GA from Amsterdam and combined Beth's love of pink and their travels.
When Alecia emailed me this wedding, she included the following detail about the cake above, since it's best left in her words, here you go . . . "In their European adventures Beth and Brian went to Oktoberfest where a guy buys a girl a cookie called a "Lebkuchenherz" that she will wear around her neck to show she is with someone and the grooms cake was shaped like the cookie!"

Congratulations Beth and Brian and thank you to Alecia for sharing this wedding with my readers today. To see more from Alecia, please visit her web site and blog.

Real Wedding : Katie and Brandon in Georgia {part 2}

Today I am featuring the wedding of Katie and Brandon from Alecia Lauren Photography. Below are more photos from their lovely June wedding - you can't even tell there was no air-conditioning inside for their reception. Since Katie and Brandon have 2 dachshund puppies - they chose to incorporate them into the wedding as bride/groom and doctor/nurse figurines on the cake tables. I love their pink hot rod for their getaway car and the exit through the bubbles!

Real Wedding : Katie and Brandon in Georgia

I'm back with another Real Wedding as promised from Alecia Lauren Photography. So sorry that today's earlier wedding {for those of you that got a chance to see it} had to be pulled. Turns out it is being featured in a wedding publication and once that happens, they get first dibs on it and the wedding can't be featured anywhere else. So a big CONGRATULATIONS to Alecia on the upcoming print feature. And, Alecia has been so kind to share another of her weddings with us - this time it's the June 27, 2009 wedding of Katie and Brandon that took place on one of the hottest days of the year {outside and inside as the location was un-airconditioned}. The romantic wedding took place at Frost Chapel on Berry College Campus in Georgia, with the reception being held on the campus too in the Ford Dining Hall. Katie and her mom supervised all the details to keep everything running smoothly. And, I love this tidbit from Alecia, the pastor that married Katie and Brandon is the same one that walked Katie's mom down the aisle - that's so sweet!
Stay tuned, the reception of Katie and Brandon's wedding is on it's way . . .
