The meeting of Karen and John started with a blind date that led to today's beautiful fall wedding, with photography by Mary Rosenbaum Photographs. The bride and groom wanted an intimate and relaxed day in the fall season to celebrate their marriage. The outdoor wedding ceremony was officiated by the groom's father which added to the intimacy of the day. John and Karen made the wedding favors themselves - each guest went home with a set of wooden homemade coasters.
Yesterday, I featured a lovely outdoor wedding from Phil and Mindy Thornton of Phindy Studios, today, I have another real wedding photographed by the husband and wife team. I just LOVE the purple shoes, sashes on the bridesmaids and the vintage feel in the photos is amazing!
The ceremony, on October 25, 2008, was held at Monroe Street United Methodist Church in Germantown. Their reception was held at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel. (a note from the photographers, there is a great permanent white tent in the back of the hotel, kept everyone nice and toasty since it was freezing outside) The entertainment for the reception was provided by The Nobility (featuring the groom Stephen and his band - local Nashville rock heroes).
For more photos from Amanda and Stephen's fun wedding, please visit Phil and Mindy's blog.Below: Don't you just love the bridesmaids pencil skirts, purple sashes and fancy blouses? So great to see a lovely alternative to the typical bridesmaids dresses. And, without the sash, they're great to wear anytime after the wedding too.
Please check back in a little while as I'll be having a fun giveaway for brides that will be in the NY/NJ area this coming weekend.
