Summer Wedding Centerpieces : sugared fruit and key limes with peonies

I have a bit of a new obsession and that is perusing all the amazing online publications that are being published on Issuu - I remember using them for the initial publications of the Best Wedding Sites Magazine. But, back then it wasn't mobile ready and had a few other quirks that made me switch to another publisher. But now, I'm LOVING all the amazing publication designs I am seeing. Makes me want to almost start designing the magazines again. But, I know how much time goes into the creation of the publications and I'm just not able to do that at this time. With 2 girls now, I'm wanting to soak up every second I have with them - our youngest is already 9 months and summer is half over. Where is the time going?

One of the many publications I have found on Issuu is Delighted Magazine. Their latest issue features 3 gorgeous centerpieces that are just perfect for summer weddings and even bridal showers. Two of the three I'm sharing with you today, so you will want to be sure to browse through the issue online for the third centerpiece idea. Plus, you can find the the complete supply list and DIY steps to re-create these beauties yourself in the magazine. The Sugared Fruit centerpiece above was created by Darling and Daisy.  The centerpiece with peonies and key limes was created by Waiting on Martha

Bridal Bouquets without Wedding Flowers

I happened to come across the most unique and AMAZING bouquets from Weddings at Work. Floral designers had to create wedding bouquets not using flowers . . . think herbs, fruits and vegetables. These bouquets are absolutely gorgeous! Which one is your favorite?

Top 6 Unique Ideas for Wedding Table Setting Decorations

I have so many ideas saved in my Table Settings Board on pinterest, I thought it would be fun to share some of them with you today. Here are my top six favorites and you will see that fresh fruit & veggies play a big role in this round-up. It's likely because it's farmers market season, but also because it's such a cost effective way to decorate.

1. Using fresh veggies as both the centerpiece and the hor d'oeuvres
2. Presenting the menu as a folded drop-down under the place setting
3. Stamping or painting the table number onto the table runner
4. Using fresh veggies, flowers, ferns, and/or herbs as an accent at each place setting
5. Creating a fresh lemon boat for place cards at summer events
6. Folding napkins as bows with the napkin ring placed in the center

And, of course, there are so many more ideas I could share with you - but these are the ones I'm loving at the moment. To see many more ideas, please visit my table setting pinterest board.

Unique Spring Ideas : Decorating with Vegetables

When I came across these ideas on Better Homes and Gardens the other day I couldn't wait to share them with you. They are so unique and SUPER clever. I love the idea of decorating with vegetables.

Radish Tied to a Napkin: Simply fold a radish or even a carrot in to a napkin and tie the bundle together with twine for a rustic look or a ribbon of your choice for a more elegant look.

Brussel Sprout Topiary: Start with a 15" foam cone and fill a soup tureen, vase or planter with foam. Then pin or hot glue the cone to the foam base. Use long T-shape pins to attach the brussel sprouts to the foam cone - start at the bottom and the pin the sprouts as close together as you can. Any open areas can be filled with sphagum moss. You can also add more moss around the base of each cone. Unrefrigerated, these topiaries will last several days to a week.

Vegetable Lined Floral Vases: Carrots and lettuce look so unique when arranged around the inside of a wide vase. To keep them propped up - simply place a smaller vase inside the larger one and line the veggies in between.
