A Fairytale Wedding : A Sleeping Beauty Princess Inspired Photo Shoot from Sassy Mouth Photography

Would you agree that starting your week off in a fairytale sounds like a fun idea? Well, this week, that's just what we will be doing. Marisa of Sassy Mouth Photography is organizing the most amazing photo shoots that she is calling "The Sassy Princess Bride Wedding Series". You may remember Marisa's Cinderella Wedding shoot I featured not too long ago. Today's Sleeping Beauty shoot took place at Gillette Castle in Haddam, CT. What a perfect location ... I remember going to this castle and taking a tour during one of our vacations to Mystic, CT. The color palette consisted of pale pinks, grey, neutrals and black. And, believe it or not, the model just happened to be named Aurora herself, just like Sleeping Beauty. Here's the magical shoot . . .

Real Wedding : an outdoor eco-rustic Connecticut wedding

Today's wedding of Allison & Griff is a lovely rustic wedding with DIY and eco-friendly elements throughout. The acorns surrounding the candles is perfect for fall weddings and the place card with the guest name printed on paper attached to a faux fall leaf is simple and clever. The lovely photographs are provided by Tony Spinelli Photography.

Real Wedding : a warm summer night with floating lanterns

Today's wedding from Ashley Therese Photography is a beautiful Stamford, Connecticut Wedding. It was a crystal clear day that transitioned into a warm summer night. Just perfect for the release of floating lanterns at dusk. Jerry and Jeanie released the lanterns in memory of one of their parents who had passed away. I love when couples do something sweet and special in memory of a loved one. Ashley says the "sky glowed with the warm lights that smoothly floated away into the heavens. It was a moving moment that no one at the wedding will soon forget." And, the wedding celebration ended with cupcakes, dancing, fruit crepes, and fabulous music.

Isn't Jeanie a stunning bride?

I've been seeing more and more of these lantern launches lately, seems to be more commen overseas. For the launches, you basically hold the paper lantern up and light the candle underneath. Once the paper lantern fills with hot air it eventually and slowly begins to float into the sky. Once the flame burns out they will float back down to the ground where ever that may be. Has anybody seen one of these lantern launches in person?

Thank you Ashley for sharing today's beautiful wedding with my readers. To see more from Ashley Therese Photography, please visit her web site and blog.
