A Vintage Las Vegas Wedding at one of the only historic buildings in the city

Today's real wedding {photographed by The Amberlight Collective}, is one I know you are going to LOVE! The bride and groom, Stephanie and Mark wanted to do something totally non-traditional so their ceremony would be as fun for their guests, as it would be for them. To accomplish this they chose to not do the traditional officiant-lead ceremony. Instead, friends and family took turns telling stories from the past 8 years that Mark & Stephanie have known each other. What fun - I love when couples make the wedding their own my adding such great personal touches.

When you think of Las Vegas, you probably think of lots of lights, right? Well, this Las Vegas Wedding was filled with whimsy and vintage touches, plus amazing history. The wedding was held at the Historic 5th St. School, which is one of the only historic buildings in Las Vegas. It's also the school that Stephanie's mother attended as a child. Stephanie and Mark used the school's courtyard and bistro lights were hung above and throughout the tree branches to make the entire venue feel whimsical as the couple exchanged vows.

The courtyard was decorated with vintage furniture that made for a comfortable environment for the guests to relax in while the ceremony was performed. There were even vintage side tables displayed throughout the courtyard that were adorned with fresh flower arrangements to the perfect color pop.

After the ceremony, the couple headed down to the world famous "Fremont Street Experience" for some fun "Vegas-y" shots.

Real Wedding : bright, artistic, fun, and a little whimsical

I'm loving this gorgeously vibrant blue and green wedding from Bend the Light Photography to start the week off with. Today's bride, Stephanie, knew she wanted to have an outdoor wedding and when she saw this location, she knew it was the one. There was a huge oak tree that hung over what would be the reception space and there was an outside spot for both the ceremony and reception but in different spaces at the venue. Wait until you see it . . .

Since Stephanie is an artist and loves vibrant color, she knew the wedding couldn't be all white. After seeing a picture online of a boutonniere with a peacock feather and an orchid she knew she'd found her colors, especially because she loves blue. But, Stephanie wanted to be sure to use peacock feathers as just the accent so it wouldn't look feather crazy. The bride found a fun, almost mod peacock feather fabric online that was used for some table runners and her mom wrapped the hanger for her wedding dress in the fabric as well.

Below is Stephanie and Greg's first look. Love it!

The bridesmaids dress color is beyond stunning - absolutely perfect for the peacock colored wedding. And, I love how each bridesmaid is wearing their own style of shoe.

Stephanie spray painted an ornate picture frame a pretty turquoise color to be used in their portraits. It's the perfect special touch.

Stephanie and Greg ordered paper poms from the Etsy seller Pom Love and unfolded and fluffed them to hang from the trees in the reception area.

Don't you just LOVE their wedding cake? And, the cake pedestal? IN LOVE!!!!!!

As the sun set, the professional lighting came on and wow, it's spectacular.

Thank you so much Jenn & Kaylinn for sharing today's amazing wedding with my readers. To see more from Bend the Light Photography, please visit their web site and blog.
