Rustic Garden Inspired Wedding {it's whimsical with a modern twist}

I LOVE today's Rustic Garden Inspired Wedding . . . which is a stylized photo shoot from D'Love Affair Wedding & Events. It's rustic with a modern twist and it takes place in a little secret garden that was found in an urban city. The color palette of soft yellows, pinks and greens with gold details is beautiful. And, the ideas in this stylized shoot? Wow - there are so many . . .

In this stunning shoot, you will find vintage books and suitcases, wooden doors, couches, a rustic dessert table {supported by wine barrels}, a beautiful wedding dress from Pronovias' new 2015 collection that features a unique loose strap design & elegant bead work, pretty Badgley Mischka heels, a wedding cake that features exquisite details like ruffles and gold sequins and is painted with white and gold watercolor effects. The details {including the pink and ivory flowers} on the cake are all handmade and edible Kitty Wong Pastry Shop. The gorgeous photography is by L'Estelle Photography.

Yellow Eyelet Wedding {Inspiration Board}

My inspiration photo for this board was the adorable table setting with yellow bistro chairs. I started creating a ruffle theme board, but once I saw the design in the chairs, it reminded me of eyelets. So, the board shifted focus, and I worked on a different "wedding ruffle" board that I'll be sharing with you very soon. Yellow is a favorite spring time color for me and you can't help but feel happy when you see it.

A Blue and Lemon Yellow Wedding {inspiration board}

Today's inspiration board was created for the bride of Lauren, who is the owner of Ten23 Designs. Lauren is creating the monogram for the bride and her groom who are planning a spring/summer 2011 wedding. The bride comes from a proud navy family and is marrying into another navy family. She is hoping to have an outdoor ceremony and an inside reception. She's looking to have some type of lemonade booth or table and wants to wear yellow shoes under her dress. From talking with the bride, Lauren also gathered she might want to have lemons worked into the decor. When I came across the photo of the lemons being used a place cards I knew that would be perfect. It's a great way to incorporate lemons, without the need to use them in the floral vases as is often done. And, the brides colors are going to be navy and powder blue with lemon yellow. Here's what I put together as an inspirational starting point for Lauren's bride.

from the archives: A Winter Grey and Yellow Wedding

Today's inspiration board feautures the popular color combo of yellow with grey, which I think are perfect colors for a winter wedding or even for early spring. Wishing everyone a very happy, safe and healthy New Year. I'll be back on Monday and please be on the lookout for the weekly giveaways to resume on Tuesday.
