Moody + Dramatic Wedding Ideas : How to Go Beyond Wedding White

Today's featured styled shoot is filled to the brim with amazing, moody and dramatic inspiration. The wedding ideas are so striking with the use of dramatic color - which was inspired by bridal black. This shoot is gorgeously photographed by Chantal Routhier Photography and takes place on a llama farm.

The goal of this wedding inspiration was to go with something darker and a tad more edgier than typical. Bridal black was the inspiration behind this stylized wedding shoot and the wedding dress was even black and white and is truly a work of art. Even the flatware was custom painted black and a silk table runner was dyed to match the wedding dress.

Many different elements were incorporated into this inspiration to make the dark, yet dreamy shoot come true . . . including rich hues, raw crystal and geometric shapes. Wait until you see the black wedding cake . . . the texture and shape are outstanding - as are the sugar flowers.

Don't miss the HUGE wedding photo gallery filled with Moody + Dramatic Wedding Ideas below the vendor credits.

An Elegant Blush and Black Halloween Wedding Styled Shoot

With Halloween this coming Saturday {and gaining an hour of sleep}, it's getting pretty exciting this week in our house. And, I'm super excited to share this gorgeous Halloween themed shoot with you today that features spectacular florals from Maribel of EightTreeStreet and beautiful photos from {a}strid photography. I'm also loving the color palette of blush, black and tangerine. Maribel writes that the team behind this styled shoot didn't want the traditional dark colors, just a sweet inspiration for Halloween. And, I couldn't love it more. It's just stunning.

A Unique and Stylish Halloween Wedding Inspiration Board {from the archives}

One of my post popular Halloween Wedding posts is this inspiration board which features 9 fun, unique and stylish things to incorporate into a Halloween Themed Wedding. An excerpt from the original post:

Simply start with black and white as the base color palette and then you can add punches of color - purple, orange and even bright green are all great choices for Halloween. How perfect is the downloadable "Dim the Lights and Keep Moving" poster for a wedding reception? I also love the idea of a more intimate wedding where you would marry in-front of a decorated mantle or an antique piano, like the one shown below.

1. Painted and glittered pumpkins {faux or real} in silver & black are the perfect decor accent
2. Happy Halloween banner {downloadable}
3. Paper flower wreaths are great for decor or on the entrance way to event
4. "join us . . . if you dare" Halloween Party Invitation
5. Can never go wrong with feathers {like a feather bouquet}, photo by Jessica Frey Photography
6. Black potted trees are great for centerpieces
7. Typographical Halloween Poster to set the mood, like this "Dim the Lights and Keep Moving" poster {downloadable}
8. Black and White Place Setting with DIY black-and-white cloth napkins
9. Black candy buffet with elegant yet eerie labels, ex. Twisted Treats, Witch's Sticks {downloadable labels}

A Hollywood Glam Bride Styled Photo Shoot in Red, Black and Gold
I'm loving this "Hollywood Glam" styled shoot from The Story Telling Experience that was inspired by the beautiful 1950's era. The model wore a beautiful Angelique Bridal Gown and the bright red lips looked amazing against her porcelain skin and stunning red hair. I'm also loving the statement necklace and the gorgeous red bouquet with feathers.
