Friday Round-up : a vendor guide, wedding sales, wine & foldable shoes - plus, the top re-pinned posts of the week

Well, another week is coming to a close and I have so many wonderful things to share with you today.

First up is that a vendor guide is now in the soft launch phase on the blog. I'm beyond thrilled about this addition. Basically, the directory from BestWeddingSites.com will be moving over here so you will find all of your wedding planning needs and inspiration in one site. I've got some fun things planned for the future of BestWeddingSites.com - but more on that to come another time.

The all new and ever growing Wedding Vendors I ♥™ Guide currently features wedding favors and handmade weddings {plus, if you check it out, you might even spy the new tagline I now have... can you find it?}.

For Vendors: thru Monday February 18, 2013 at 11:59 pm est - if you contact me to find out more details on how you can reach my brides and purchase a listing, you will . . .

*** receive $14 off the already great yearly rates ***

{the $14 off is in celebration of not only launching the guide on the 14th, but because the 14th marks my 12 years of being online in the wedding industry}. Simply email me at bestweddingsites{at}gmail{dot}com

Red and White Peppermint Weddings

Ideas and Inspirations | Photos and Galleries
Color Palette: red and white

I want to wish all of my readers a very happy holiday season. I'll be taking a break from blogging to spend time with family and friends, but, I do have some fun posts lined up for Mon (12/29), Tues (12/30) and Weds (12/31). I will be featuring my favorite Real Weddings from my Photography Blogs list. And, of course you can always browse thru my past inspiration boards, Real Weddings and all my previous posts until I officially return to blogging. I'll be back on Monday January 5th with all the latest 2009 wedding trends to reveal along with Real Weddings, my inspiration boards and of course, tons of other wedding tips, hot products and more. And, be sure to visit Best Wedding Sites for all your wedding and honeymoon planning needs.

Now, for today's inspiration board which features the ever popular holiday peppermint stripes. To help break up the monotony of the stripes, I've introduced round elements. While I could see this theme being used for a wedding - I just love the idea that is presented with the invitation sample I've shown {which can easily be customized with the text of your choosing}. The idea presented on this invitation is to ask your friends and family over for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres to help celebrate the first Christmas in your new home as husband and wife. Below the inspiration board, I've also included a dress, a pair of shoes, and some fun candy cane drinks that I think would be perfect for the party.

Blue and Green Winter Wedding

Ideas and Inspirations | Photos and Galleries
Color Palette: teal, chartreuse, green

I just love the color palettes that are becoming more popular lately for the holidays instead of the traditional red and green. While I still love this color combo, there's something special about putting together a totally unexpected color scheme for your guests at a winter wedding or any holiday party.

Pastel Blue and White Christmas Wedding

Ideas and Inspirations | Photos and Galleries
Color Palette: pastel blue, white, aqua blue, evergreen

Snowflakes, yummy cookies, hot chocolate, and an intimate gathering of your closest family and friends is what comes to mind with this soft-hued winter wedding. Evergreens and hints of aqua blue add a touch of brighter color to the pastel palette. For location - maybe even right at home or at a bed and breakfast that can accommodate small groups. This palette would also be perfect for a New Year's Eve wedding or one taking place in the bitter cold month of January.

Real Wedding : Caroline & Edmund : Part 2

In continuation of today's Real Wedding with Caroline and Edmund, we move on to the reception at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek, Colorado. {photographed by Jenna Walker Photography}
Below: I love this idea . . . At 6:15 {the hour Caroline and Edmund first met}, they lit the candles of their guests' tables - in a "unity ceremony." The last table they were to light was their own.
