An Intimate Wedding overlooking Lake Michigan

Today's Michigan wedding is simply beautiful - it's intimate, quaint, and almost every guest had something they contributed to Katelin and Evan's wedding day. Melanie Reyes Photography captured the special day and writes . . . "These photos speak for themselves, this couple's joy and radiance was captivating." Wait until you see the entrance to the ceremony - I LOVE this idea. And, it you look closely, you will see that when the bride enters her reception - she has a bit more added to her dress {see the extra flowers at the waist?}. Such a fun way to add more flair to your dress for the celebration afterwards.

Washington DC Wedding - Love at First Sight

Sara and Jeremy met thru a mutual friend . . . the friend asked Sara to show welcome her good friend to beautiful DC and Jeremy received an email to say that Sara would help him get familiar with the city. Then Sara and Jeremy met one day during lunch only to realize they worked just a few blocks from each other and it was love at first sight for both of them. Don't you just love stories like this? They began dating almost immediately and started planning a future together. They share many things in common - including their love for the outdoors, the love for languages, travel, but mostly importantly their love for god.

That photo below would definitely scare me to photograph it - but it's oh so pretty seeing the brides veil trail behind her as she descends the stairs.

i just love the photo below of the bride and her father dancing away - isn't her dress gorgeous???

A starry night wedding reception in Mesa, Arizona

Did you know that Arizona is a great place to have a wedding reception? According to the photographers of Amanda and Derrick's wedding, Photography by Verdi, they say it is because it hardly ever rains. Mindi and Rich say "You have to have really bad luck if it rains on your wedding in Arizona." As a result of this, Amanda and Derrick's reception was held under a star lit sky, so magical. Oh, and don't you just love the brides beautiful gown? I love the lace detailing on the sleeves and the succulents in her bouquet are gorgeous too.

A classically elegant wedding in Sayville, New York

Starting off today with the wedding of Carol and Matt from Mindi and Rich of Photography by Verdi. I'll also be ending the day with another wedding from the husband and wife team, so be sure to check back after lunch as we head to Arizona for that one. I love how today's couple stopped by a few local fun spots after the ceremony before heading to their reception. What a fun way to relax together.

I love how the couple stopped at a few local fun spots before heading to their reception. So fun to see Rita's again. We don't have any around us here, but I remember going to a few Rita's when we vacationed in Connecticut a few summers ago. Their frozen custard was so good :)

Charleston, South Carolina Destination Wedding

Type of wedding: outdoors
Number of guests: 120
Colors: brown, purple, green
Theme: orchids, oyster shells

Bart and Heather are college sweethearts and their wedding day was absolutely gorgeous. Don't you just love the brides ruffled shoes? The beautiful photographs are by Chi Photography of Charleston and when they asked the couple for their most valuable piece of advice, here's what they said. "Eat first! Don’t get caught up talking to everyone." For the brides "something old" she had her mother's lace on her garter and her grandmother's pearls on her bracelet and earrings. Her "something new" was her wedding dress and shoes. "Something borrowed" was her sister's ring and the "something blue" was the bottom of her shoes and her grandmother's broach on her garter.
